We traditionally brought our dogs to an on-site vet, but as our dog has gotten older, those visits became much more difficult — especially for routine care. Dr. James and her assistant, Jordan, came to me house for our shelter dog taken from a hoarding situation who is very anxious and scared around new people. Dr. James was so patient. She didn't rush the process and was even able to draw blood without him jumping, crying or reacting. Her determination and patience paid off. Both she and her assistant were amazing.
We've been working with MyVetCalls for at least two decades (Dr. Solomon Perl and his new partner, Dr. James) and I can't recommend it highly enough. We have two cats (now geriatric) and it reduces everyone's stress and saves time to have our vet needs dealt with at home - check-ups, vaccines, bloodwork, stitches on one occasion, several minor procedures. I found myvetcalls on a panicked google search last week. I called Dr. James (who serves Columbia MD area and other areas) and my cat was seen later that day. My cat does NOT like going to the vet and it is difficult to get her into a carrier. An in-home vet was ideal for her. Dr. James was very professional and friendly. I highly recommend myvetcalls if you are looking for an in-home vet.
