My Secret Garden started at art shows and booth space in the Bay City Antique Center and grew and grew. We opened our own store on Water Street and expanded the business there. In 2004, we bought and totally renovated the 7,000 plus square foot space that houses My Secret Garden today. My teenagers and I visited this store recently. We were not greeted at all. In fact, nobody said a word to us until we checked out at the counter (after 25 minutes of shopping) and then I couldn’t believe how unbelievably smug the sales clerk was. She did not make eye contact at all- acted as if we were a nuisance to her, and then proceeded to ask my daughter if her pura vida bracelet on HER ARM needed to be purchased along with the other three items we purchased.
