I booked a sick visit for my son early this morning due to vomiting and cough. Since our regular pediatrician was unavailable, we were scheduled with another doctor.Our appointment time was 1:15 PM, and we arrived on time. New here to Texas and I have been trying my hardest to find a pediatrician for my girls . This office advertise accepting wellpoint medicaid but when you call they state they do not. I really felt like that was unfair and inconsiderate especially with Dr.Swagian being already listed on my daughters insurance cards. I Just felt this situation was unfair and false advertising now I have to start from scratch and also get her name removed from my daughters insurance cards

This physician was listed as our assigned provider on my child’s health insurance. When I called for an appointment they stated that was inaccurate and that they did not accept my insurance. I offered to pay out of pocket and she stated that they would not see my child now that they cannot bill my insurance. It should not matter if a physician is out of network if I’m still paying out of pocket. I have never been refused care for this reason.
