This place doesn't treat people coming from the IDRC like humans. They don't care about your situation, what's going on in your life, whether or not you have kids, whether or not you have a disorder or an addiction, or if you have health problems. They believe they are above the court of law. Before I was assessed the "woman" who did the assessment was openly telling all of the other people in the office that "I don't want to work today, I don't think I should work today, I don't feel like doing anything" Loud and proud. Rita and her staff at My Friend's House were paramount in my recovery during a particularly difficult and trying point in my life. I've continued to see Rita post recovery, and I always appreciate her easy-going & conversational approach to therapy.I appreciate her honesty and candor, and I enjoy our friendly debates as well. I'm beyond grateful.
Best Outpatient by far. I love love the staff and counselors. I’ve been to Sodat, I’ve been to Solstice, I’ve been to Maryville, and I’ve been to Unity Place and none of these places comes close to My Friend’s House. I’ll tell you that.
