The ambiance was amazing, stayed in the crazy daisy... Fit my personality to a T!!! However, I had reservations for a King Size bed. The bed was a small Queen. It made it very hard to sleep comfortably for my husband and me... The pillows were lumpy too!!! I would probably not return do to the fact I slept so poorly! Also the breakfast in the morning was extremely slow and service was not friendly.
Would love to actually have a stay there , was so much to see in a short visit.. so awesome
My son and I went in for lunch yesterday. The food was mediocre and 15 for a sandwich Wow... Our waitress was non existent and they were not even busy. I had to ask another waitress for a coffee refill. Will not go back!!!
It's like a cruise ship, but way cooler, on land. With horses, mountains, its own culture, and emphasis on art! The madonnas really cared about every last detail. Can I live here?

The Madonna Inn is a beloved curiosity of the California coast. It's not something to be missed! Over the top ornate decor. Weird pink lighting. Just an unusual and interesting place. It's a landmark. But, I'll be honest. The food on Christmas Eve... not so great. I asked for a medium to medium rare cooked fillet. They brought me a dry overdone one. Had dinner in the cafe. My husband ordered from the steak house menu, my son and I from the cafe menu. Very good service and very good food! Dessert looked fabulous but we were too full from dinner to consider dessert. Will have to go back for that!
The wait staff is the steak house was incredibly nice and attentive. Thank you Ashlee.
