Clean the hotel and hire responsible staff. This was the filthiest hotel with the worst service I have ever experienced. Our first room (#164 “Merry”) was fun and gaudy, but dated and worn, definitely not worth the $ but about what I expected. Unfortunately, it was right above a room with yelling drunk people and horribly loud music - clearly a party that was permitted by the hotel in violation of CDC and California State Covid guidelines. Unique rooms. Halibut dinner was delicious
Beautiful and Mystical. Outstanding Location,and the Service is second to none. The Bakery is to die for, and Dining Rooms are exquisit, where they serve the most Delicious Meals from Delightful Menus I have been dropping in to the MADONNA INN for almost 60 years. I Highly and Happily recommend YOU STOP too!!

Awesome that waiter at the counter is amazing
food was bland... when our server brought us our lunch she asked if we needed anything else...our response yes son silverware and napkins. she went back to talking with 3 other workers! They could all have been buffing out the silverware because it had lots of water spots on it!!
Massive pot smoking and partying going on two doors down and management didn’t care. In fact we had to leave and find a room elsewhere as the pot makes me sick and the partying put us all in danger as Covid is still a thing. The room with the party was hosting musicians shooting a video so I guess the money and publicity from that is worth more than my or your life. What a shame.
Beautiful place. Driven by hundreds of times growing up and never stopped. Glad I finally did as an adult!
The staff here is amazing! I don’t think o have been to a resort where the staff is so helpful, kind, and will go out of there way to make you happy! It’s really amazing! Stayed in two room - quirky I would say, rooms clean and comfortable. Large heated pool and jacuzzis. Pool bar, can order food and a fitness room if you want to work out. Food in the restaurants is very good. Getting massage today and steak dinner at the steakhouse tonight ! Everything is decorated in the winter wonderland theme in the restaurant.
