Have been going to them (Lex in particular but also others) for 6 years now! They’ve been so supportive of every part of my gender journey and I have never felt more affirmed. The haircuts are transformative and informational too! These are some of the kindest people I know. Highly recommend !!
I had a great experience with my first haircut at Mutiny (and first in NY since moving from CA). Alanis had a lovely relaxed vibe, and made sure to understand what I wanted (cutting my collarbone length hair to a wavy bob). They also explained what they were doing along the way and kept checking in throughout, very happy with the result. The studio itself is bright and cheerful, would recommend!
I went to Mutiny for the first time last week and love my haircut by Alanis! I also appreciate that they give and require masks and the safe, inclusive space.
