I started coming to Mustay’s a few months ago and I haven’t stopped coming back. Not only do they care about my hair, they also give me tips on how to care for it outside my appointments. I thoroughly enjoy their detangling process and their comprehensive treatment packages. The fact that they use enough heat protector and also that they don’t pack wads of gel on my hair are just some of my favourite things about them. I’m leaving this review specifically because of my experience with the owner. Unfortunately, the way she handled my situation was incredibly rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. My issue was not simply about the price. I was willing to pay for the service I booked. The problem was that I was given one understanding of what I was paying for, and then the situation changed afterward. Edit: Came back to get some French curls done. Never coming back again. Listen to the other negative reviews when they tell you about this place because the whole “nice” act is just that. A act. The owner is terribly unprofessional, inconsiderate and downright disrespectful. I came in after booking medium length French curls for $270 only to be told on arrival that my hair is too long.
