If you are looking for a Vet that really cares for your pet and not for how much $$$ they can get you to spend, I would highly recommend Muskoka Lakes Veterinary. My experience has been by far the best, my beagle was struggling as she was overweight for the past couple of years, with no energy and sleeping all the time. Dr. Degelder was exceptionally kind, thorough, and showed an immense amount of empathy and compassion while telling my husband and I that our oldest cat Katie (a young 15 year old) has cancer. Her understanding and assuaging our immediate guilty feelings with reassurances was appreciated very much. She left the communication door open so that should we have any concerns or questions in the future, that she would be happy to help us. On September 22nd, me and my mum called the vet to ask for help for Sushi. We’d already taken her in a few times lately for appointments, one of which was an emergency visit, and were trying to figure out next steps. They told us they would talk to a tech and call back; nothing. On the 23rd, same deal. We call, ask for their opinions and how we should proceed, and nobody called us back after they said they would.
