Settled by Karel Hansen Toll, elected representative to the Colonial Legislature from 1714 to 1726. In 1830, Isaac Toll introduced Broom Corn making Scotia-Glenville the broom capital of the world for at least, the next fifty years. Remained the homestead of the Toll family until 1898.
