I hoped this place would be a great experience for my 8-year old son, but his piano teacher decided reminding him to sit with his legs uncrossed and feet flat on the floor was more than she could handle after 4 lessons. She also complained that he spoke too loudly, but I never heard him speak any louder than other students. My son was enrolled at the music lab for about 8 years working with the incredible Ray Delgado on drums. This place is like a second home that's filled with people who love music and love to teach. Victor and Ray have been extremely supportive of my child's music development and we owe them a great deal for the amount of love and attention they showed him every single lesson. Did anyone mention that this place used to be a bowling alley? A bowling alley in the Height just down the street from GG Park! They had a great "Rock 'n' Bowl" thing on Friday nights, complete with black light, videos, booze, and Bowling. Anyway, even as fun as that was, Amoeba is still more bang for your buck. I have to stay out of places like this because I just spend too much $$. Amoeba is a lot of fun and good for some down home people watching as well.
