I live in the neighborhood and have had this spot saved for a while, hoping it could become a staple for good, groovy music - something the area desperately needs given that nearly every other venue nearby caters to the same tired, barely-dancing, overdressed crowd. To my dismay, I dropped in on a Friday to check out the basement-level club and found a packed crowd of young college-age kids and bad pop remixes blasting through the speakers. I didn’t really like the vibes inside. The music was not good. The two separate room situation seemed very weird, not a big fan of it. The staff were nice though, which I appreciate.
