Excellent repair/restoration of 60+ year old Eames & Ekornes chairs & ottomans. Mark transformed the original leather, wood, and metal with painstaking hands-on work. He searched for authentic replacement parts, protecting the original value + making them more resilient to future use. He sent photos of the progress along the way, and finished in a timely way. Highly recommend Museum Quality Restoration for treasured belongings! Here’s some before and after photos.

WONDERFUL!! Absolutely top notch service. Had a 1960s chess table that needed restoration. Not valuable, but very sentimental. Mark handled it like it was the Mona Lisa and his restoration was impeccable. Sent me texts & photos every step of the way, too. Could not be happier with the result. Now shows a gorgeous wood grain I didn't even know was there. He leveled the table top, too. And the wrought iron table legs looks brand new! The game surface was made of paper and extremely damaged. He had suggestions for repl... read more

In leaving this review, Wow and Thank you are the words that come to mind. If you have a special piece that is in need of repair, do not hesitate and bring it to Museum Qualify Restoration Services for repair. I have had my chair for over 30 years and the leg broke vertically. I took it to Mark to see what could be done not knowing that it could be saved. Mark is a skillful and meticulous craftsman. I can not see where the chair leg had been broken. He kept me informed as to the progress that he was making while working on ... read more

I found Mark's website some time before I needed it and kept a note of it for future reference as high quality restoration artisans are few and far between. Recently, I contacted him about an antique Irish clock that had veneer popping off and loose inlay after having dried out in the desert climate over 5 years. Mark was extremely responsive, walked me through his recommendations in detail, demonstrated how the repairs would be done, and completed the job in a reasonable timescale, including a thorough waxing and polishin... read more

Mark Fry of Museum Quality Restoration Services just made my day! I brought to Mark a circa 1920s Czechoslovakian bronze and glass beaded peacock lamp that was damaged sometime during a move, thinking I would drop it off for him to repair in the coming weeks. The heavy and strong bronze figure was significantly bent backwards on its stand, so it could not stand without falling back. The crest on the bird’s head was also bent as were some of the metal portions of the train of “feathers”. Mark pondered how he could fix it so t... read more
