I love steam trains. This train ride was full of beautiful scenery. My grandfather worked on the Great Northern RR in the early 1900's. My family says I have steam trains in my D&A. I Was there on my BD.
Fun trip
Super fun day, awesome crew and gorgeous scenery.
I recommend you get there about 45 minutes early. Not because you might miss the train but because there is more to see and do before and after the trip. As far as the actual train ride, we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. I think there were too many children for my taste, but ehat can you do? I guess book the taste trip instead? All in all it was a very thought out excursion.
