Misleading ad. This is not a scenic view, nothing but that. A very small glimpse of the lake.
I've gone on this train twice now and had a fantastic trip both times. The first time, I went with my mom and grandparents for a father's day trip. My grandpa had worked in logging, and I haven't seen him light up as much as he did while talking about his youth in such a long time. Pointing out all the old and new growth, what trees where what. What a wonderful train ride.

The opportunity to ride a steam train was such a thrill, but we did the Bourbon ride, which was $100 plus each (so a bit priceyfora good cause, as they are trying to get this built back up after it closed down), and the ride is about 45 minutes each way. The Bourbon tasting and music was done at the historic museum, which they are restoring.
