Murphy, Watson, Burr Eye Clinic (Dr. Watson specifically) in St. Joseph, MO did surgery on both my eyes. The left eye was ok with glasses, but the right had a scarred macular hole in the back of the eyeball. They embedded eye lens in both eyes. They were strongly advised not to do anything my insurance wouldn't pay. The first surgery (on the bad right eye) went well and no surprise bills.
