got a new godfrey sweet water pontoon, Mike Misch went above and beyond for us , did not rush us , and answer all questions, he made sure we were 100 % comfortable in are big purchases that took us over a week talking to him. Him and the team at Fontana WI location made it worth the drive to , they have a customer for life with are family.
I just bought a 2014 Chaparral from them and found the experience to be excellent. From Mark, my salesman who was extremely knowledgeable to took the time to explain the features of the boats to me, despite how busy he was when I walked in and my lack of interest in buying a boat at the time; to Gene who closed the deal with me; to Mary Jo who rushed her service department and third party vendors to rig the boat according to my requests in a short time frame for my one time delivery, the whole experience was excellent. Great Boats Great People – I purchased a new Bennington pontoon boat from this dealership. It arrived December 3rd shinkwrapped for summer. I had already had a delivery set up for it in late April, but I looked at the weather this week-all 70's March in Chicago? I know lots has to be done to the boat to get it ready, but I called anyway and talked to Gene. He called me back in 15 minutes and said he was able to schedule a Captains delivery for tomorrow! Poor Service after the Sale – Think twice before doing business with them. Purchased Rinker Cruiser for $135K to be delivered in the Ozarks for which we paid $2500. Once the boat was ready to go and we were on our way to the lake to meet them for delivery they called and said the Missouri permit office was closed which delayed delivery. One of the two employees that were delivering the boat was more interested in swimming than delivery of the boat. There was most likely a problem with the carburetors and that I should have Munson come up and assess it. Munson Marine of Fox Lake, IL **BUYER BEWARE!! – continued... In early May I took delivery of the boat. I wrote a check in access of $300 for delivery of the boat, and tipped the delivery person $20. He put the boat into the water and not more that 100 yards out into the water I noticed the motor having the same issues it did on the test drive. "Get Munsoned" @ Munson with High Prices & Poor Service – I tried buying a Malibu from Munson, a few years ago...I don't think they thought I was serious about buying a boat. I was looking for a deal and they offered me a few options and shot me some prices that were utterly ridiculus. Bottom Line...I got on the internet and found a better model with more options, for less money. I've used them for service on my Malibu and have had bad experiences.
