We wanted to escape somewhere quiet for two days and found it in Mungumby Lodge. No TV, internet or phone contact and we found it refreshing. Nature has altered the path to the waterfall, but the bush walk is still worth it. With other guests arriving late and departing early, it felt like we owned the place for two days. Thank you very much Isabella. See you again soon.

Off the beaten track. Get close to nature. Go for a walk and see the awesome power of nature that happened during Cyclone Jasper. The owners are very accommodating. At this point you will need a 4wd to get there, due to the washouts. No mobile phone coverage, limited Wifi. But do you really need it? Certainly recommend staying there, especially if you are into bushwalking/hiking.

Fabulous location amongst the rain forest. Our log cabin was just perfect and the communal areas had everything you needed. The walk to the waterfall was a bit hard (we’re in our 60’s) but well worth the effort. Thank you for the wonderful stay Isabella and Hamish.

Ein wunderbarer Platz im tropischen Norden. Das Setting der Anlage ist sehr schön. Grosse Bäume umgeben die Cabins, diese sind stilvoll eingerichtet. Die Bauweise und Lüftung lässt einen gut schlafen. Der BBQ Platz und die grosse überdachte Veranda sorgen für perfekte Stimmung. Wir haben einmal ein feines Fish-Dinner gemacht, die anderen Tage waren wir im Roadhouse essen. Dieses ist ein paar Fahrminuten entfernt. Sieht ruppig aus, das Essen ist sehr gut und wir wurden sehr freundlich bedient. Nice talks.

I had a wonderful stay at Mungumby Lodge recently. Such a beautiful setting, and so peaceful. The accommodation was beautiful, clean, lovely hot showers and super helpful staff. I will most definitely be going back.
