This was not the only home we looked at. We did our research, took tours, asked questions, read the lease agreements, understood our responsibilities and the responsibility of the homes before we selected Mulcaster Mews as the best fit. My Mother moved into Mulcaster Mews when she was in the advanced stages of Alzheimer's Disease. Owner is shocked by a bad review, my family member died there in their care, they were bullied and treated like garbage. Food is all canned it doesn't look like the food on this site. When I spoke on the phone with my family member they stood over them and listened to what they told me. Police were called, and said this isn't the first time we have been here. Investigations and make sure you check the retirement home review board they have offences like dirty rooms mold etc. Do not go here because the price. DO NOT BE FOOLED... read more

I share the views of my two siblings. Our brother has been a resident of Mulcaster Mews in Barrie, Ontario now for almost 4 years. His recent Alzheimer’s diagnosis has made things challenging. He can be difficult, grumpy and a cantankerous son of a gun and yet he’s still there. The staff have continued to care for him, calm him down, and even make him laugh sometimes. My brother lives at Mulcaster- he has run out of options and is being funded by my sisters and his daughter. He has dementia which, which is getting worse and he is a grumpy bear a lot of the time, I think. The staff , especially Katherine Stanton put up with him, are professional and kind and I could not hope for a better place for him, although in his state of mind he might disagree.
