Dr. Jamil was my grandfather’s oncologist after being diagnosed initially with prostate cancer. I went to appointments with my grandpa and Dr. Jamil is a dismissive and prideful person. After about a year of being his patient, my grandpa insisted something else must be wrong because there was new and worsening pain. Dr. Jamil dismissed it. Our family pushed for more imaging. He saved my husband's life! He is very knowledgeable in his field. His personality didn't matter to us as long as he was an excellent doctor. We never had any problems with him at all, a genius he is!!
If you want to get spoken to like a dog, this is the doctor for you! Oncology is not the right field for him, he is not compassionate, my family had a terrible experience. Which is the last thing you need to pile on when you hear a loved one has cancer. He is AGGRESSIVE, and his EGO will destroy his practice. Shame on you, Dr. Jamil.
He was angry, intimidating, tried to make me remember every symptom I crossed off or wrote down on the extensive paperwork I provided, and then told me I needed psychiatric care instead of medical care, because my symptoms weren't real. He only referred me to GI when I mentioned symptoms that were undeniable, but not before telling me nothing was wrong with me and that it's in my head.
