Yesterday I accompanied my sister on transportation to her doctor. She was picked up 1/2 hour late, when we got to her appointment, we were told she was to late to be seen. I explained that she is in a wheelchair and was transported late. Luckily for her the doctor chose to see her. After her visit we called for a ride and waited 1 1/2 hours of more for a ride. Im a single bio, adoptive, ****** parent. I have two medically complex children. I adopted one and the other is my ****** daughter. MTM states they will reimburse Milage for healthcare appointments. They make the process so cumbersome and then change a part of it every time I attempt to get reimbursement. They say I have to get prior approval. I booked a ride (not gas mileage) over a week before the appointment for 8:45pm, Thursday, April 15, 2021 and a return ride at 10:00pm, by the automated phone system which I have used several times before. I checked it in the app and it was correct. However, I checked it again the day before the appointment and was horrified to see that my pick up was now for 8:45am and a will call for a ride home. My HMO contracts with MTM to provide non-emergency transportation for medical purposes. In turn, MTM contracts with various taxi companies to provide the transportation. Some of the drivers are breaking the law by holding their phones to engage in phone calls and to text while traveling at high speeds which causes them to weave in and out of lanes. I have unfortunately had to deal with this company to provide transportation. On Dec 07 the company was supposed to pick me up at 3:30pm to pick up my diabetic prescriptions from the pharmacy. Less than 2 hours before I was to be picked up they canceled leaving me with no diabetic supplies and placing my life in danger. They supposedly attempted to contact subcontractors to provide the service but none were available. What is the point in scheduling an appointment only to have the appointment broken and no solution provided?... read more
This company is a joke. They are suppose to help by making things less stressful financially to make it to medical appointments. Instead they lose your trip logs or they just straight out remove paperwork from people's files without notification. My recommendation is to contact which ever state you are in government and complain. We deserve better
