Weekly emails are extremely useful. They often got you to take different approaches in thinking about setting tasks for the team and to treat everyone as individuals.
I did the essential management skills course back in January. The course itself was really well delivered. I learnt such a lot from the material but the trainer was also very strong. Both inspiring but personable too. Since doing the course it’s really changed my approach to work and it will stand me in good stead for the future. I used the online tools available to investigate my level of emotional intelligence and signed up to the weekly e-mail tips. I've been surprised how insightful and helpful these tips and suggestions have been. I've definitely incorporated some of them into my everyday tasks and feel like I am improving my management skill set.
