My mother lived at Mt Vernon Gardens for seven years and she was very happy there. The management is excellent and the caregivers were always very kind and helpful with my mother. It is a rare and wonderful place for a senior citizen needing fulltime care to live; I highly recommend it.

My mother-in-law was at Mount Vernon Gardens for the last few years of her life, and she received excellent care there. The staff there were responsible, kind and caring, and my mother-in-law was treated with warmth and attention. The small number of residents and the home-like setting were a wonderful match for my mother-in-law’s needs. Emilce and her staff at Mt. Vernon Gardens gave my Mother the care, support, and affection she needed in her last year. Mom died at 98 years, requiring essentially constant attention, beyond the capabilities of her 70's-something children. Having her nearby, so we could stop in to visit often, was important to us, but more important was knowing that she and the other residents were being attended to by warm and caring people. My mother lived the last 3 years of her life at Mt Vernon Gardens until her death at age 95. I can't say enough good things about her experience there, or of my own and that of my other family members when visiting Mom and interacting with the respectful, caring, and dedicated staff. Emilce Dellar, the onsite owner, was especially great to work with. I have a total of 14 years experience with this facility; 7 with my Dad and another 7 and counting with my Mom. I can’t say enough good about it. It’s clean, friendly, serves nutritious foods and my parents have constantly raved about the kind, skilled atmosphere. Emilce , the owner, has served many years in the geriatric community. This place is truly a wonderful facility and our family is blessed to trust our loved ones in it’s care. Mount Vernon Gardens is an extension of our family.
