Jeff was always so helpful to me and my dog, he is an inspiration to hikers, and he doesn't just want to sell you gear to make money, he want's to make sure it's what you need and that it will work flawlessly for you on your journey. i will always consider this a home away from home. Have known Jeff for over 20 years, and would not think of going anywhere else for any camping or backpacking gear that i would ever need.
This is a great store in the lovely small town of Damascus, Va. Since moving to PA from NC many years ago I try to plan my trips back to NC with a stop here. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and I rarely leave without something cool. Last time it was a metal mug and an AT t-shirt.
Very helpful in helping me find my first pair of hiking shoes.
This shop has great customer service! My husband and I stopped to look at ULA backpacks in preparation for our AT thru-hike next year. Jeff spent nearly three hours with us, helping us try on packs and making sure we got the proper fit. They didn't have the size I wore, so he showed me how to order directly from the manufacturer, even though it meant no sale for him. How amazing to find someone who puts the good of the hiker above profit for his store! I highly recommend this shop.
Great store and everyone was very friendly, helpful and very knowledgable. I will definitely be back on my next trip to Damascus!
My Rogers Outfitters is by far the best store for you hiking needs. Not only do they have the best equipment but the staff is so knowledgable. They an answer all your questions and help you with facts about the trail.
