Patty or Patricia Monroe of M&T Bank (Assistant Vice President - Senior Mortgage Loan Specialist) was the loan specialist assigned to us prior to closing. Within 24 hours of communicating with this woman, we knew she was a problem. In our opinion, she should not work with first-time homebuyers. Here a few examples why: 1. First interaction, she sent us a list of things that she wanted us to send back to her. One of the items she requested was regarding the inspection. M&T Banks are absolutely terrible lenders! They have been sued multiple times and are definitely guilty of cheating their customers out of money and unethical business practices!! Do yourself a favor and do not get a mortgage with this bank!!!
