Had the worst experience at Government Camp Lodge. The house was filthy, dead flies everywhere and infested with rats. Reached out to the host and they ignored my calls and concerns. Save your money don’t book here
We recently stayed at Riverside Retreat cabin. Overall, we had an amazing time exploring Oregon, and the cabin itself and location were beautiful. However, there were a few issues that were disappointing and worth letting future renters be aware of. The hot tub was not in usable condition, the water remained yellow during our stay, which we were told was an iron issue but never was corrected, there was black debris floating in it, and there were noticeable rings around the waterline were easily wiped away. Our stay was lovely from check in to check out. Beautiful home on gorgeous lot, hot tub, fireplace and cozy living space, clear instructions and very clean. Had a great time!
The heaters in the downstairs of our cabin don't work and the folks at Meredith refused to be of any help. We came up with small children and nowhere in the description of the house did it state that the bottom floor was unheated and required around the clock maintenance of the wood burning stove. We were forced to leave because it wasn't suitable for us or our children in the middle of winter. I've rented several homes throughout the years. Rentals by Meredith in the MT Hood area was a highlight of rentals. Great customer service, a clean place to stay in a beautiful setting.
