Unfortunately, customer service at M&T, and the version of People's United Bank before the changeover cannot compare to the People's Bank that I have used since the early 1990s. I recently walked into an M&T branch where four people were working behind the counter. There was one other customer talking with one of the tellers. Sounded like a personal conversation. I’m absolutely shocked by the negative reviews! My experience with this branch has been nothing short of amazing. Every employee I have ever encountered has been kind, courteous, knowledgeable, accommodating, patient & respectful. I was a loyal customer of People’s bank & rode the storm through the transition to M&T Bank. The main reason I stayed is because of Ms. Miriam and the staff she bought over from People’s.
