Update: certainly having money taken with no record of the transaction is frustrating, however M&T did honor their promise to resolve the issue. Within a day or two of my putting in a claim for the issue they credited the money only contingent on the money I deposited actually being there. Given that it was, after about a 10 day period everything was cleared and the money we were credited (the amount lost to the machine) was considered as the transaction. Thus all is well. The manager of this branch, Joe Warwnynski, spoke to me like I was stupid. I have never been condescended to in such a blatant, borderline misogynistic manner. As a woman with a disability who was made to feel incredibly stupid and as if things were my fault, I felt utterly demeaned and disparaged after my interaction with him. M&T needs to do a much better job with training their employees with basic customer service skills, and I will never do business with M&T again. DO NOT GO HERE.
