ZERO STARS – Extremely Unprofessional & Discriminatory Treatment On 11/26/25 around 1 PM, I visited the M&T Bank branch in Newark, Delaware and had one of the worst banking experiences of my life. I approached the counter and requested a withdrawal slip. The teller, Morgan Durrell, provided it. Went there to close out my parents IRA Account. The guy was very nice and friendly.
If I could give this branch 0 stars I would. I called ahead last week because I needed to have the branch manager endorse a check for a property claim. I was told she was in a meeting and expected to wait 30 minutes. After some discussion of having an appointment already established, they finally let me meet with the branch manager, Lisa Heitz, who started off with an attitude. She was rude and unhelpful. Worst branch ever. I will go out of my way to go to another branch My story is similar to others who posted about them cancelling their accounts without a phone call. Done with them
MT bank Suburban decided to CLOSE all of my family's debit and credit cards AND GAVE US NO EXPLANATION!then had the nerve to have the police waiting for us at the branch when we showed up to get our money! Daughter was leaving for vacation with no $ or credit card! They didn't care. Police escorted us out! 3 days later, some random MT rep from Maryland called me to say we can go Get our money!
