I had an awful experience at the M&T Bank in Denville, New Jersey today. I’m from New York, but I had to use this New Jersey branch. The teller kept questioning me asking why I needed to take out the money and what I was using it for, which is none of her concern. On top of that, she was incredibly rude giving me attitude, rolling her eyes, and shrugging her shoulders. I have been depositing birthday checks and others made out to my minor children for 17 years. Simply endorse as myself and write parent of minor followed by the minor’s name. Yesterday the people at M&T wouldn’t deposit my checks claiming the only possible solution was to deposit into a custodial account. Had to drive 20 minutes out of my way to deposit into an account that I have with a different bank. They are horrible. Because ofvthem I'm going to he homeless. They won't give me back my deposit of 606 dollars. They claim they are investigating. Investigate what.
