I have been depositing birthday checks and others made out to my minor children for 17 years. Simply endorse as myself and write parent of minor followed by the minor’s name. Yesterday the people at M&T wouldn’t deposit my checks claiming the only possible solution was to deposit into a custodial account. Had to drive 20 minutes out of my way to deposit into an account that I have with a different bank. They are horrible. Because ofvthem I'm going to he homeless. They won't give me back my deposit of 606 dollars. They claim they are investigating. Investigate what. Whatever you do, avoid working with P M&T Bank. We have been lied to repeatedly about what we could and couldn't do with our account and what services we would get. I was just led to about mobile deposit limits and told it was impossible to get anyone a reasonable limit when the co-owner of the account already has the limits I was looking for.
