Worst customer service ever. Need proof of payments sent from bill pay and was told they can't give me that information. It's my money and you cna't provide me of proof of what you did with my money??? Horrible customer service.
RecommendedThey do a lot of good work in the community. Like Buffalo Connect. Free wifi downtown! People can look for work and resources that otherwise would be hard to find.
I was just in the branch on the highway in Hagerstown Maryland my husband Wrote me out check they wanted to take 2% of the check because I was not on the account this is so ridiculous it’s on your bank the money is in his account in your bank and you want to take a percent I’m not on this account I used to be in the banking business and I know how you guys work I’m hoping I can get my husband to close the account so we can be done with you guys ridiculous all about the moneyNot about the customer

it's awful that you charge 2% for non account holders to cash a check. I expect that at a check cashing pace but a whole bank. Maybe 5 bucks but 2% is simply greedy and doesn't make me want to open an account with you. I'll stay with my current bank. I'd rather have the inconvenience of waiting for my money to clear as opposed to being charged again.
Would not cash a check drawn on there bank ! Wont accept payment drawn on M&T in the future. Empower cashed it quicker than the time it took to walk into M&T!

M&T bank changed my interest rate on my va Morgage by changing dates on my Morgage documents 2 years after closing on my house. Telling me they amended it. Sorry to tell them this is bank fraud on disabled veteran on a fixed income. This resulted in them increasing my mortgage over $200 a month July and still no help from them. Management is not helpful and I would recommend not doing business with them. They also started putting my money for my Morgage payments in a unapplied area of the bill to charge me late fees.
