I am sad to give this review. I have been banking with M&T for many years; however, my recent experience has been awful. There was a major change with my mortgage account and when I attempted to get information on this I was shut down at every turn. I have made multiple calls to resolve this issue with no luck. I don't normally like to go out of my way to leave negative reviews, especially when it's no fault of the staff who have been nothing but friendly and respectful, this is about M&T as a whole and this just happens to be the branch closest to me so unfortunately they get the flack. M&T loans are aggressively front loaded with interest to the point that the first eight months I've paid on my new auto loan throwing $80-100 extra per payment I've paid about $1738 in interest while in the same interval in time I've only paid $299... read more
Attempted to make a simple transfer, along with transaction which did involve onsite visit. Unable to accomplish any of it at this branch. Visited Greece branch with POA to complete transaction. POA and investment advisor tried to intervene at Spencerport branch to no avail. 40+ year customer.
