I visited the M&T Bank branch located at 341 Broad Street, Manchester, CT, this afternoon with the intention of opening both a checking account and a savings account. Instead of being welcomed as a potential customer, I left feeling ignored, disrespected, and discriminated against. My friend and I are both women of color. Called to see if they were open... only to walk a mile to a closed branch. One could only imagine if there is going to be a closure YOU WOULD LET YOUR CLIENTS KNOW IT! This lack of communication is exactly why no one actually appreciates this bank an would rather go back to peoples.
