I installed not one but two mr cool units in my home in Chilliwack, British Columbia. After watching 20 or 30 YouTube videos I found the installed to be straight forward and very doable:) Now that the hard part is over I am sitting back enjoying the comfort these systems allow me. Upon turning the system on this spring we were getting various error codes on indoor units and an E1 error on the outside control board display. Apparently it's a too low or too high voltage. Noticed rodents in the control board box and it appears they shorted something out on the control board. Cleaned it up with contact cleaner but no go. Emailed Mr Cool for parts availability and prices and they got back to me with a quote fairly quickly. I paid for the part and a new control board arrived within a few days. Do not buy. Ours died after 18 months. They wanted $750 shipping for a$150 part. Replacing unit with a more reputable brand.
I have installed a 3 ton universal unit and has been working great! I installed & started it up in January during a very cold time. i was very impressed with heat output at temperatures between -15c and -25c for about 2 weeks! Tyler was a great help with the sale and with the few questions I had during installation! I am impressed with the quality and would recommend this to anyone!
Tyler was so helpful with all our DYI questions, great heatpump and not too difficult to DIY!
