Akaihana IS Mr. Sushi They may have changed the name, but Mr. Sushi is just as good as it was when it opened. My family has gone to this restaurant every year for my birthday. We love their teriyaki plates, especially when they come with the miso soup (delicious!) and the side salad. The dressing on the side salad is particularly delicious when mixed with the teriyaki sauce.

I love Mr. Sushi! One of my favorite sushi restaurants. Food is delicious, expertly prepared and very fresh. Small place, no booths and the tables are really close to each other, but that is more than compensated by the quality of the food. I like to go there by myself for a quick dinner and I love sitting at the sushi bar. I always get into an interesting conversation with another diner and have a good time. Mr. Sushi is a great place to eat really good sushi.
A great little hidden away sushi place. A nice little place that is very personable and gives great service and great food at a great price. Much better, in my opinion, than the bigger sushi joints.
Great Sushi Place! We just started eating sushi and so far this is our favorite place - really friendly, helpful staff and a sushi bar! Their tables/chairs aren't the most comfortable and they have no booths but the food is to die for! They have some really great rolls here and have specials on a regular basis, too. Pricing is pretty average for sushi places, we usually spend around $50 for 2 of us. Try the tootsie roll if you go!
