The doctor seems very capable, but the business practices left a lot to be desired. The office requires payment in full before you even arrive for the appointment and charges an additional 3% fee for using a credit card. When I needed to reschedule, they would not even discuss changing the appointment until payment had been made. Additionally, in the two interactions I had with the practice, they overcharged me both times and had to issue a credit. Nice dentist, but questionable charges and fees. I went to Dr. Pete a few months ago to obtain a predetermination for an implant. Dr. Pete is in my insurance network whereas the other dentist that I was considering is Out-of-Network. To my surprise, Dr. Pete's fees were substantially higher than the Out-of-Network dentist for the identical procedures (services). Why? You can thank the ADA and the NC legislature for passing SB 58-50-290 in 2019 that permits In-Network dentist to charge any amount of $$$ for non-covered servic... read more

I had a fairly severe mouth injury from a puck while playing hockey about 10 years ago. I had been to several different dental offices for treatment over the years without success. The problems were admittedly complicated and unresolved… until I found this office. Dr. Pete quickly identified the source of the issues and created a treatment plan that finally resolved the source of the issue. My only regret is that I wasn’t referred to him years earlier.
