The booth at the Ladner farmer's market sells perogies that are so overpriced and have absolutely no flavour. Huge waste of money. I rarely regret buying food to this extent.
Their Cafe at the McKee Senior center is my go to spot for quick home style food which is very reasonably priced. 2 legit bacon cheddar burgers for $10 is as good as it gets for me. If you’re ever in Ladner I’d highly recommend this little known gem. The women that work in the kitchen are the kindest, nicest staff I’ve ever come across anywhere. We tried Mr Mom's Cafe at the senior centre today. We've been wanting to try Mr Mom's as we both love Ukrainian/Russian food. We were both very disappointed with our meals, which we took to go. I had 3 on the smaller size cabbage rolls. I couldn't find the filling, so that explains the size! I should have known they wouldn't be good when I saw the gal put Prego sauce on the cold rolls before she heating it up in the microwave. The sauce was so gross, very sweet! Great communication and very responsive to our needs. Great food and service without being intrusive. They took the party over the top. Thanks to Russel and all of his staff.
