Well, to start this is not my first time at the Mr. Mike's chain. I usually love Mr. Mikes. So the server was friendly and efficient. No complaints .. I ordered the 7oz sirloin with mushroom topping, a baked potato, and the broclini as well as the Rustic Onion Soup. Positives ... Onion soup was on point, perfect even.... I don't like the cheese on top so ordered without and I forgot there is bread in it but once I fished that out, perfect The steak was cooked correct at Medium Rare, maybe at the top or MR but still correct..... read more

Normally, I really like Mr Mike’s steakhouse. But today I had a less than stellar experience. We were travelling with dogs and so decided to visit their patio to grab a bite to eat on route. Too hot to leave the dogs in the car. They, despite having a dog friendly patio sign on the front of the restaurant wouldn’t open the patio stating they did not have enough staff. They were polite, but not accommodating. We went to the Empty Keg instead, and it was excellent.

We were so looking forward to a steak. We each ordered the 7 ounce traditional with garlic mashed potatoes. It was so tough we could barely cut it, so chewy that I finally just gave up. I did eat about two thirds, flavor was good, garlic mashed potatoes were delicious but when I'm paying that much for a dinner maybe at least add a little more potatoes - they are cheap. Our first time at this Mr Mikes unfortunately will be our last.
