Soooo darn incredible! Very authentic Japanese cuisine! We will be back!
I left feeling very dissatisfied. it's not a good value and they charged more than the menu, making it even worse. I feel there are much better places to go in DFW. it's very average Japanese bar food. I'd give a better score but it's way too expensive for what you get.
Mr. Max in Irving is such a hidden gem! That authentic izakaya vibe is hard to find around here, and they absolutely nail it. The Japanese street food-style dishes are spot-on—crispy karaage, yakitori, takoyaki… all the hits. It’s like a little slice of Tokyo tucked away in DFW.
I was very happy to find this restaurant! The food was great and authentic. The blue fin tuna had the proper firm texture, and the katsu had a nice light fry and was juicy inside. Staff was friendly and accommodating for my family. We will be coming back here regularly!
