Went yesterday for the free wipers with oil change. I was told my car was not due for atleast 1000 more kms and my oil still looks great. I plan to park the car as soon as the snow starts and the mechanic Mathieu told me don't' waist your money today as the oil will deteriorate through the winter. He told me I can have the wipers for free anyway as the car has been there for several oil changes in the past. I was quite surprised ! I paid nothing and was in and out in under 5 minutes. I don’t know what kind of Engine oil these guys used during my car’s regular oil change, because it greatly reduced my car’s fuel economy. And then they sold me treatments like fuel injector cleaning and what not, which my car didn’t really need, and these treatments didn’t make any difference either, just wasted my money…I started to think the issue was with my car, but last month I got an oil change done from Costco and my car’s fuel economy has already improved a lot since within this month. This place lost a long time customer. Their upselling tactics are annoying and a scam! While getting my oil change one of the technicians pulled out “my” spark plug and showed me an extremely melted and worn out plug. He told me they needed to be replaced for $200 and I need to bring my vehicle back Tuesday because they are out of stock. I never told him replace them and didn’t like his pushy tactic.
