I have only positive things to say about my experience with Dr John O'Donnell. He was recommended to me by the University of Western Australia. 2 other orthopoedic surgeons had "written me off", saying things like, "I'll see you in 8 years for a hip replacement," and, "All I can recommend is pain killers until you need a hip replacement." I was 51yo. My research led me to a new product called Orthocell, which Dr O'Donnell was occasionally using to help with arthritis. My problem was a misshapen femur head. John is a skilled surgeon and great to deal with having had 2 prior procedures before I finally needed a hip replacement. His office manager on the other hand is absolutely incompetent and she should not be in the position where she can cancel a surgery based on incorrect information when you having been waiting for months. By far the worst experience I've had and extremely stressful. The good outcome was that I had it done elsewhere and the result was brilliant. I can’t speak highly enough of John O’Donnell. I had multiple years of pain and John and his team have been transparent, open and honest throughout the entire process and recovering well.
