In late March we stopped at Cinders for a plank of haddock. My wife had a 1/4 lb cinders classic. I haven't had the haddock in a year and so was looking forward to enjoying it. I noticed the owners brother was working and said hi. He cooks. I forgot to order my side dish of butter that I dip my fish into. I asked our waitress, Jevalia, to get me some butter. Food is excellent. Service is below average for a sit down restaurant. Many times waitress, dark hair, older - mid 30's,, was chatting instead of attending to our needs. She acted like we were an inconvenience. Maybe, sitting at the ounter is what made her mad, not sure. It's an experience.

Lee Engleman knows how to treat people right. We have had 175 meals or more in his dining rooms and enjoyed every one. His staff are professionals who go out of their way to take care of you. The sandwhiches are always delightful and if it doesn't taste right, just ask for an adjustment and it is done. I am surprised he doesn't run all of the Wisconsin Cinders (Appleton, Mayville) restaurants as they could take a hint from him as to how to run a restaurant.
