Had an opportunity to eat at this establishment due to the previous choice being sold out. I goggled soul food Tampa, Fl and came across M&R Cafe. 1st time experience….The portion for the price of the ox tail plate was superb. Taste…. Greens were spoiled. Potatoe salad was warm. Ox tails didn’t fall off the bone today (can’t speak for other days). When I was inside the restaurant, I opened the bag and smelled the spoiled aroma but said maybe it’s a special seasoning. Love it here, I have just about tried everything on the menu but those tails always bring me back 😂😂.
The best soul food in Tampa!
Service was terrible. Food was salty. And the people who worked there yelled when I followed their directions on where to pick up. Why have a sign saying where to go only to not use it. I will never return. It was so loud in there you couldn’t even hear the person sitting next to you.
