Mr.Appliance, charged us a $142 just to look at our dryer and after discovering the board was burned out. You explained the $150 would go towards repair if you fixed it and you never came back. You told my husband that it was unrepairable but we found out different. It has been repaired by us. I called Mr. Appliance to fix my wash machine. The tech came out turned on the machine and let a little water run. I didn't hear him doing anything for about ten minutes. He came out and told me I needed a new motor. He charged me $125.00 service call. I immediately smelled a dead cat on the line. I am smart enough to know you cannot diagnosis a problem without taking the back off the wash machine. WE WERE TOTALLY SCREWED BY MR. APPLIANCE. OUR DISHWASHER WAS NOT RUNNING PROPERLY SO WE CALLED MR. APPLIANCE AND THEY SENT A TECHNICIAN. HE DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AS A FAULTY DRAIN PUMP AND SAID THE COST WOULD BE OVER $700. HE SUGGESTED FOR THAT PRICE WE SHOULD JUST CONSIDER GETTING A NEW DISHWASHER. WARNING: I contacted Mr. Appliance of Memphis on August 3, 2021, about a problem with a free standing icemaker in my kitchen. They had a technician at my house by 1:30 that afternoon. He seemed to be very knowledgeable, diagnosed the problem and told me I needed a part (water valve) replaced, and that he had the part on his truck. He told me the price of the repair would be $618.19. I assumed the part that needed to be replaced was expensive, so I agreed. I had Mr. Appliance to come out and check my top oven and my refrigerator. The tech was there probably 45 min to an hour. He was clean, prompt, and efficient. He was able to order the parts needed to repair both appliances and rescheduled a time to complete the repair. I wouldn't hesitate using them again.
I was very pleased with my service from this company! From answering the phones to the technician arriving to my home, it was very professional. Overall performance was top notch. The technician diagnosed and fixed my appliance issue and also made sure to cover the little details. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. DO NOT CALL THEM TO COME AND REPAIR/DIAGNOSE A PROBLEM WITH AN APPLIANCE! Clearly that is the only way they are making money. Here's why: We called to get our dryer repaired, and wondered since the tech was going to be there could he also price the repair of our washing machine, since the balance light keeps coming on when we do a load, and to replace the outer glass on our oven door. I contacted Mr. Appliance to fix my dryer. I explained the exact codes the dyer was displaying. Upon arrival, I told the Technician about the codes. He said, "Why did they dispatch me? That's duct work. We don't do duct work." He then said, "I'll start the dryer to make sure." After starting the dryer, he went out to his truck and gave me their card that also had a duct company name & phone number on it. He said use this duct company and tell them I sent you. You owe us $108.67.
