Andrew has done two hips and recently a Total Knee Replacement for me. He is an amazing surgeon with great bedside manner, I recovered well and have had no problems with implants. The scarring has been minimal with good clean lines showing care in his stitching and placement of scar especially the knee to make kneeling easier. I retained full feeling of skin around wounds. No infections and I reached full function especially relevant with Knee. Highly recommend his work and dedication to his patients.
Had a minor problem with the booking, but they scrambled and got it sorted. Had an excellent manner, walked me through the options for treating my knee.
Your mileage may vary ... Found the office staff a bit taxing, have a knee issue and GP gave me a referral for him and a referral fo another surgeon. He seemed to be the most convenient, so rang the office to setup an appointment, they said I had to email the referral and they would then call me to book the appointment. Emailed the referral, never heard back. Maybe he is a great surgeon, guess I will never know.
My hip replacement was the best thing I ever did. All the pain is gone. I was up walking the next day. After four days I stopped taking any pain medication. It was unbelievable. Andrew was fantastic and explained everything before and after the operation. Liberty was very helpful and patient with all my questions. The anaesthetist was also very good I didnt feel a thing. I could not recommend all of them any more highly.
I had my full knee replacement with Mr Gong 7 weeks ago and I couldn’t be happier. I walked out of hospital in 4 days without crutches, my scar is small and practically invisible now, and I must confess I’m wearing heels when I go out. Mr Gong is a genius as far as I’m concerned and as for his PA Liberty, she is a blessing. They are both professional and compassionate. I would thoroughly recommend Mr Gong every day of the week. But warning - Do your physio! It’s very very important!
