AVOID AT ALL COST. Our experience with Dr. Andrew Byrne has been extremely disappointing. I have never met a doctor who seems to view patients purely as a source of money, with zero sense of accountability. We were referred to him by our GP. Right knee done coming up to two years. Very happy. Get the odd twinge but 150% better than the old knee. Might need the other one doing in the next 12 months.

This is my third operation performed by Mr Byrne. I have had both shoulders operated on one in 2016 and one in 2018 and just had total knee replacement. I would not have any other orthopaedic surgeon treating me. He is very approachable, lovely manner explains the procedure in full. In my experience the pre and post patient interaction needs a review. No IV for pain relief while in hospital! After surgery expect an hour wait as a minimum and more costs outside healthcover. Bring your own water and reading material as you will wait an hour over your scheduled appointment. Overall, post surgery care management is poor or non exitant! Just glad l don't have to return, as the surgeon directs all your questions to your GP.
