Ten years ago, yes, ten years ago I walked into Adrian Trivett's office at Cabrini Malvern. I was in need of 2 knee replacements. I was bleeding at the knees with so much pain. I was 100 kilo. I was using private health cover to have 2 knee replacements. Adrian acknowledged that I must be in so much pain considering the weight bearing X-ray results he was looking at - and I was, that's why I was there. Me experience with Adrian is that I missed 10 years of good quality like because he rejected me for a knee surgery saying I was too fat, at 90kilo. Being the first and only Ortho I had ever seen, I was too ashamed to go to another one in fear they would say the same thing. As a result of his irrelevant and uncaring professional opinion my situation worsened. Eventually I landed with an amazing surgeon who at the same weight performed 2 very successful knee operations. There are many reliable surgeons in Australia who can do very good work.
I have not had a good experience with Adrian Trivett and I would suggest you look elsewhere - not at the Cabrini.
