I had a bad experience at Moxie. Went for hair and makeup with a pre-booked appointment. Makeup was so bad that even my husband could find the flaws. Asked the makeup lady to correct, but even after repeated attempts she messed up. Showed them the picture of a very simple side part hair style that I wanted, but the hairstylist could not do that. I ended up washing all my 200$ makeup and hairstyle and did everything by myself. Worst experience ever!

My daughter went to this beauty salon at 5:00pm, she first called and asked how much was going to be an elbow length blowout and they said $55, went she went to pay at 5:40 they charged $72 , $7 dollars more because she used her credit card ( in the state of new jersey you are supposed to pay 2 to 4% for credit card payment) and $10 dollars more for no reason , when I called to asked why they charged more when we were told that it was going to be $55 , they said that my daughter didn’t specify she had frizzy hair . i was quoted $55 multiple times over the phone for elbow length hair and confirmed it more than once, but somehow ended up paying $72. they added a $7 “card fee” (so 55->65 which is a 12.7% increase instead of the typical 2-4% in new jersey) plus another random $10 charge that was never explained beforehand. if there were extra fees for “long, frizzy hair” (how they described my hair on the phone after) that should’ve been communicated before the service started. so i ended up paying 72 dollars after being quoted 55 also, if... read more
