Do NOT go to Mousou African Hair Braiding in Newton, NC. On 4/6/2026, for small boho knotless, I was quoted $150 + $20 for the boho hair. I paid a $20 deposit that day for a 4/8/2026, 10am appointment. My bonus daughter showed up for her appointment ON TIME, only for Mel aka Mousoukoura Kamara to arrive almost 1 hour late, claiming to be driving from Charlotte. Don't go unless you have no plans at all that day. I got there at 11:30 am and didn't leave until 8pm. I asked for large box braids, she did two rows the size I requested then dropped down to medium size. She has two phones and has to talk on both of them continuously the whole appointment, sometimes at the same time. Then she doesn't braid the hair all the way down but will go back over them dragging out the appointment. This is my farist and LAST time coming to this business. My appointment was at 6 pm. It is now 7:43, and the lady has not even TOUCHED my hair. Nor has she offered any apology/explanation as to why it has taken her this long to get to me. I'm about to leave. Frfr. THIS IS INSANE.
