My father was in Memory Care at Waters Edge, it was Wonderful. He was so happy there. I would walk in to a giant smile on his face, no matter when I showed up. He was never in his room, always out w the group. He nvr smelled bad, which is an accomplishment for someone who is incontinent. His room was always clean, bed made. The residential manager has worked here for 30 years. She is rude and attitudinal and talks down to her residents. I have heard about her before moving here but thought it was just talk. She doesn’t follow up on rent adjustments to lower your rent unless you call HUD to have them step in. She disregards the apartment’s lease and house rules and regulations. If you have a elderly parent do yourself and your parent a big favor and stay clear of this place. When a housekeeper can steal at least 5 grand from your mom and then get the place to let her to come in and take whatever she wants out of her apartment when she is sent by them to a nursing home with dementia there is definitely a serious problem. Good rent. Apartments made of cheap construction. Elevators break down frequently Management prone to making many arbitrary picayune rules. Manager can be a bully and tyrannical. Many nice friendly residents. Basically I enjoy living here but you have to set boundaries as to how you will be treated.
