The absolute worst healthcare provider. If you have to deal with any MountainStar Healthcare facility be prepared for large bills with no explanation, difficulty working with your insurance (no matter the provider), a billing department with no information, and administrators that don't seem to understand healthcare. I had one good interaction with someone there and all she could tell me is that MountainStar (specifically Lakeview Hospital) will charge you over $2,000/hour for a $0 contribution to your healthcare outcome. Took my brother to the Brigham City ER. He had been tripping, falling and very incoherent. After running several tests and scans, Dr. Hilton said there was no medical reason for him to stay, even though he was obviously dizzy and incoherent. Because of geographic reasons there was nowhere for him to go. They would not give us any advice as to where to take him. They handed us the discharge papers and left. The nurse came in and asked if my brother needed a wheelchair to get out. We said we could manage. She left without sayi... read more

Provider was great, but billing has been a nightmare. Double charged for everything, impossible to get an itemized statement. I am self pay, so billing should be straight forward as we are not dealing with insurance/claims/adjustments etc. but the incompetence of this company is alarming. I have called so many times trying to get duplicate charges removed and self pay discounts applied. I had a wonderful surgeon but due to the billing issues, I would not return to his office for treatment and will avoid St. Marks and any oth... read more
